The Kitchen Table Ministry will offer the following at Ascension Church Conner Hall:

Drop-In Sunday: Join us on March 2 after the 9:30am Mass in Ascension Church Conner Hall for coffee, donuts, blood pressure screenings, a listening ear and wellness information. 

Kitchen Table Ministry will sponsor an evening titled “10 ways to stay healthy and well in 2025” on Tuesday February 18 at 6:30pm in Ascension Church Conner Hall. The evening will include a presentation, discussion and dessert. Please consider joining us.

What is the Kitchen Table Ministry? The kitchen table has always been a cornerstone of family life, a place where meals are shared and memories are made. It’s where holiday treats are sprinkled with laughter and love. In today’s world, where challenges like illness, social unrest, and personal struggles affect us all, the need for such a gathering place is greater than ever.

Recognizing this, we have rebranded our “Mental Health and Wellness Ministry” to the “Kitchen Table Ministry.” This new name reflects our commitment to creating a space where stories are shared, support is given, and understanding is nurtured. Join us as we launch new initiatives to bring our community together, one conversation at a time.

Join us in celebrating Mardi Gras on Monday, March 3 from 5:30pm to 7:45pm in Ascension Church Conner Hall.

Festivities will include a free pancake supper, music, games and activities, dancing, desserts & Kings Cake. Come join us. All ages are welcome. Call 412-922-6388 for reservations.

Make plans now to join us during Lent for the annual Saint Philip Catholic Parish Fish Fry at Ascension Church!

Our fabulous Fish Fry is being held on the Ascension campus (114 Berry Street) from 4:00pm to 7:00pm beginning Ash Wednesday, March 5 and every Friday of Lent including Good Friday! (Good Friday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm).

You're invited to the annual Calendar Party Luncheon at Bishop Canevin High School. Tickets are $25 per person. Reservations are required.

Our 23rd Annual Calendar Party Luncheon will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Bishop Canevin. Doors open at 11:30am. Lunch will be served at 1:00pm. Event should conclude at 3:30pm.

If you are unable to attend but would like to support this parish fund raiser, you can help us by:
• Donating a Basket for the Chinese Auction
• Donating Gift Cards or other items to be used as a Door Prize
• Helping to set up and/or clean up
• Volunteering to work the event (help sell  Chinese Auction Tickets, Table Centerpiece Auction Tickets, 50/50 Raffle Tickets, or help serve lunch).
