The Kitchen Table Ministry will offer the following at Ascension Church Conner Hall:

Join us on January 4 for Drop-In Sunday following the 9:30am Mass in Ascension’s Conner Hall. We offer the following: delicious donuts, blood pressure screening, meaningful conversations, and general wellness information.

On Thursday, January 15, join us for an inspiring evening on Healthy, Happy, and Holy Aging: Laetitia Bridges, Diocesan Consultant and retired Licensed Professional Counselor, will lead a thoughtful presentation followed by discussion and light refreshments. Begin the New Year with a renewed commitment to healthy living; let this gathering be your first step.

The Ladies of Charity monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, January 8 at 6:30pm in Conner Hall at Ascension church (note time & place change).

This gathering will be a spiritual evening focused on learning about St. Elizabeth Seton, one of our founding saints, and how she continues to inspire our Vincentian spirituality. All women of the parish are warmly invited to attend.

The 2026 Saint Philip Parish Fish Fry is coming soon!

With Ash Wednesday scheduled for February 18, it’s time to get ready and begin our preparations for the Saint Philip Parish Annual Lenten Fish Fry!     

Mark your calendars, and plan to join us for these excellent dinners and gatherings on Ash Wednesday and every Friday of Lent through April 3. 

Sunday, January 11, at 1:00pm, we’ll hold our first organizing meeting in Father Conner Hall on the Ascension campus. All of our coordinators and volunteers are welcome to join us for a brief meeting to get this year’s plans rolling.

ALSO, new volunteers are most welcome to join us in the weekly fun of this largest social event and fundraiser for our parish community.

We can always use your additional assistance in these areas:
 - Preparing Conner Hall
- Advance food preparation
- Fish Fry Day preparation
- Kitchen assistance
- Assembly line assistance
- Dinner service assistance
- Fish Fry cleanup crew
- 7:00pm cleanup crew
- Hospitality crew
- Publicity team

Each Fish Fry evening will be 4:00pm until 7:00pm – Ash Wednesday and every Friday of Lent, including Good Friday!

Join us for dinner this Lent, and if you and your family members can lend a hand – or two, please join our team of Fish Fry volunteers.  Call the parish office this week, and speak with our parish staff about your interest in volunteering!

Join us on Monday, February 16, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in Conner Hall at Ascension Church (114 Berry Street) for a joyful community evening featuring a Pancake and Sausage Supper, lively music and dancing with DJ John Wiggins, and fun activities for all ages. Guests can enjoy a coloring and word search contest, test their knowledge in a Lenten Trivia Contest, and share in an evening of fellowship, fun, and community spirit. Everyone is welcome!
